What is Reader Raves and how does it work? Rave for your faves by voting in up to 100 categories under the headings of Recommended Services, Where to Shop, Food, Fun & Fitness and Ask a Local. Simply type the name of the person, place of business, institution or location next to the listing. If you cannot fit the entire name into the box, please do your best to abbreviate! Be as clear and concise as possible.

Do my votes count if Reader Raves has already started? Yes, but only one vote per category is allowed within the voting period, which ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 2, 2020.

Are there prizes for voters? Yes! As long as you vote in 25 or more categories, you are eligible to win one of several prizes via a random drawing at the conclusion of the voting period. The Grand Prize winner will receive a $500 gift certificate to a Reader Raves winner of their choice!  Prizes of a $250 gift certificate and $150 gift certificate to a chosen Reader Raves category winner will be awarded to the first and second runner-up respectively. When and where do we find out about the winners? Winners of Reader Raves are typically announced within a month of the end of the online voting period. You can check back at ReaderRaves.com or in the Reader Raves Winners' section, which is published by The Republican in September.
